Meet Our Teachers

Amy's love for musical theatre evolved into a passion for pop singing, 

which she pursued at BIMM Institute in Brighton, earning a Performance degree specialising in vocals. 

Since graduating, she has performed with function bands and as a solo artist at local events. She also

 gained studio experience as a session backing vocalist, working with Grammy-nominated 

producer Pete Smith (Stevie Wonder, Duran Duran). A career highlight for Amy was performing

on an ITV singing contest as a Taylor Swift tribute, judged by Shania Twain, Adam Lambert, 

Beverly Knight and Olly Murs. Amy is excited to teach at Open 2 Music, and help to inspire young

singers. 

Lorna is a pianist/keys player based in Surrey. She has been playing piano since 14 years old and is well versed in a variety of styles including pop, contemporary classical, rock, funk and jazz. Lorna regularly performs with a variety of different bands and artists and from doing so has gained specialist knowledge of the live industry and performing as a keys player.  Lorna is also well versed in a wide scope of music theory. Piano teaching is something Lorna really enjoys and is thrilled to be part of the Open 2 Music team!

Becky is a dynamic and energetic Piano Teacher with 15 years’ experience in Primary and Secondary schools as well as private music tuition. Becky teaches beginners to advance pupils from prep test to grade 8, she has many pupils that enjoy to just play without exam input, and is more than happy to teach either or.

Within Becky's years of teaching, she has worked with pupils at ‘The Brit School’ along with scholarships at school such as St Pauls school (In Westminster London) and Cobham Free School along with many others. Becky teaches all genres and likes to treat each pupil individually as she believes all her pupils need to be taught differently, along with all this she also works with  GCSE pupils and helps with performances and composition.

Anastazie Breiova is a singer, songwriter, tutor, performer and a co-producer. Has two higher degrees in Music field, Bachelor in professional musicianship vocals and a Master’s degree in music performance. Her knowledge includes vocal techniques, essential styles, music business, music marketing, songwriting and many more. Anastazie is an artist based in London, she has an experience with writing, composing and producing her own music that is being released on different streaming platforms. Anastazie takes teaching music very seriously and is determined to find the right approach to each student. Having experience in music education as well as experience of working in the music industry makes Anastazie have diverse information that will help future student find their own way of being creative and professional. Anastazie is very organised, good at communication and responsible. Her teaching program will involve making sure that each student gets enough knowledge and information they need in order to progress in music as well as giving student space and freedom to be creative and to show their uniqueness.

  Gertrud is a London based artist and session vocalist. She has been active in the music industry for well over 6 years and is trained in pop-jazz vocals. In 2022 Gertrud finished her Bachelor’s degree in Popular Music Performance, specialising in vocals at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. She is moved by a strong desire to constantly develop her musical skills and share her knowledge to help others achieve their goals in music. Her teaching style is catering for the specific needs of each of her students, focusing on sustainable singing, vocal health, creativity and finding the joy of singing at a professional level.

Harriet is a pianist, vocalist, guitarist, violinist and singer/songwriter. Having studied classical piano and violin she continued her musical journey into contemporary pop and jazz, training with leading jazz singers at Goldsmiths College, London and Johannesburg, South Africa.

An experienced performer, Harriet has gigged as a solo artist as well as a lead and backing vocalist with a variety of pop, rock and jazz bands in South Africa and the UK. She was honoured to be invited to record her own material for the South African Broadcasting Corporation's compilation album of gigging singer songwriters.

Her passion is to see children develop into confident, creative musicians who have fun with their music making. Her training with the British Kodály Academy enables her to incorporate Kodály's methods to ensure her pupils build a solid musical foundation whatever instrument and style they enjoy.

Harriet tailors her lessons to suit each child’s learning style, whether it be preparing for ABRSM, Trinity or Rock School exams or learning to play pop songs. She is thrilled to be part of  the Open2Music team!

Ben is an experienced and enthusiastic pianist with a background in performance, composition, and education. With over a decade of playing experience, he combines strong music theory knowledge with a well trained ear and creative instinct. Ben brings a creative and patient approach to lessons, helping students of all ages grow in confidence and musical skill. With a wide range of musical influences, he makes learning piano engaging, inspiring, and fun.

Stefan's first experience with music was learning the keyboard around age 4 and  went on to learn drums as a teenager and finally settled on the guitar as his primary instrument when he was 15. Stefan played in jam-bands with friends and loved rock music, being inspired to learn by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards and Jeff Beck to name but a few.

Stefan continued my musical development into adulthood, being fortunate enough to attend London Centre of Contemporary Music where he was lucky enough to study under excellent tutors including Andy Jones (Cliff Richard, Van Morrison), Ed Speight (Ian Drury) and Silas Maitland (Imelda May, Paloma Faith) amongst many others. He was proud to graduate with a 1st class degree in Music Performance and Production in 2020. During the course of his studies his taste in music broadened and he developed a real passion for Jazz and Soul. Stefan became comfortable playing in a range of genres and began to integrate more sophisticated voicing concepts and harmonically-informed vocabulary into his playing.

Since leaving university Stefan has continued developing musically, and has had the opportunity to take lessons with leading musicians Peter Bernstein (Jim Hall, Sonny Rollins, Larry Goldings, Brad Mehldau) and Carl Orr (Billy Cobham, Sting). Stefan has spent time as a member of London-based indie-rock originals act ‘FRANSIS’, and is very proud of their 2022 EP ‘Honeymoon’. Stefan began teaching in this same period and is thoroughly enjoying passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians!
